This month, the world’s largest aviation investors will converge in Riyadh for the Future Aviation Forum (FAF24), where Saudi Arabia will reveal over $100 billion in investment opportunities as part of its ambitious Saudi Aviation Strategy.

Key Highlights:

1. Massive Investment Showcase:

  • Airports: Over $50 billion earmarked for new and existing airport projects.
  • Aircraft Orders: About $40 billion for new aircraft acquisitions.
  • Logistics and Infrastructure: $10 billion, including $5 billion dedicated to special logistics zones around Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam airports.

2. Strategic Importance:

Minister for Transport and Logistics Services Saleh Al-Jasser emphasized, “Saudi Arabia is presenting aviation investment opportunities that are unmatched globally. Our Saudi Aviation Strategy aims to triple passenger numbers, connect to over 250 destinations, and handle 330 million passengers and 4.5 million tonnes of cargo by 2030.”

Minister for Investment Khalid Al-Falih highlighted, “Saudi Arabia is the world’s new investment hub, targeting $3.3 trillion in investments by 2030. Aviation is a key sector driving the Kingdom’s broader economic transformation. The aviation investment showcase offers investors unparalleled access to participate in this transformative journey.”

3. Comprehensive Investment Opportunities:

The showcase will feature:

  • Investor Briefings and Panels: On major projects like the six-runway King Salman International Airport in Riyadh and public-private partnerships for international airports in Abha, Taif, Hail, and Qassim.
  • Cargo and Logistics: Opportunities in advanced air mobility and business aviation.
  • Airline Expansion: Briefings on the expansion plans for the new airline Riyadh Air, along with regional leaders Saudia, Flynas, and Flyadeal.

4. Global Participation:

Executives from Boeing, Airbus, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, and Embraer will attend, alongside investors and representatives from airlines, airports, cargo, logistics, and aviation services companies. The forum will also feature Saudi ministers and global aviation and investment CEOs.
